It was heartening to finally see Bangladesh put up some sort of a fight in a Test Match as was seen today at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. It was an inspiring partnership of 180 for the fifth wicket between Shahriar Nafees and Shakib Al Hasan that not only rescued the Tigers from a disastrous position

Bangladesh finished the first day's play of the 2nd Test at a healthy looking 234 for 5 in 68 overs. Former Skipper Shakib Al Hasan who registered his 2nd Test century remained unbeaten on 108 (from 168 balls with 14 fours).
